Eric Strung
Real Estate Investor & Managing Broker
Real Estate Investor & Managing Broker
Eric has always had a strong interest in real estate and business. After graduating from college, his first job was a leasing agent which helped him acquire a strong knowledge of Chicago's neighborhoods. His first condo purchase for himself was a true "fixer upper." Much of the work was done himself which strengthened and accelerated his desire to make real estate investing his career. As the Purchasing Manager for HomeVestors for over 7 years, Eric successfully negotiated and managed the purchase of 474 houses from 2008 to 2015. From 2010 to 2014 he was awarded with the national HomeVestors "Buyer of the Year" award for the most purchases in each of those five years. Often meeting with homeowners and negotiating the deal directly, Eric always treated the sellers with the utmost respect, keeping the seller's needs as the first priority.
In 2008 Eric started Spartan Exchange, a real estate investment company that originally focused on lending hard money to other real estate developers. In the spring of 2015, Eric left HomeVestors to work full time at Spartan Exchange. The focus of his company changed from being a lender to buying the investments himself. Eric is involved with all aspects of each project from the acquisition to disposition. He sources the homes from advertising, auctions, estate sales, foreclosures, word-of-mouth, and traditional MLS listings. Eric spends a great deal of his time each week looking to secure the next deal.
Shortly after starting the investment company, Eric obtained his managing broker’s license and started Spartan Residential, a real estate brokerage. Eric's specialty in buying many "as is" properties has helped his clients acquire investment properties as well as primary residences. Showing diversity in his skill set, Eric has negotiated deals for as low as one dollar and well over one million dollars. He is professional, discreet, and easily adjusts to new marketing trends, using his experience to assist his clients in making the best choices when buying, selling, or making investments.
While staying committed to real estate in Chicagoland, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. Eric also plays in adult soccer leagues, is a competitive golfer, recently took up water skiing, and enjoys running to stay in shape. A graduate of Michigan State University, Eric is an avid football and basketball fan.
